Cheap EBAY starter?

My starter or selenoid has been giving me trouble. A reman starter from the parts store is around $160. These "new" starters on ebay are aroudn $52. Too good to be true?

IMHO it seems to good to be true. 2 years ago i bought a starter for my 94 and got it for 80 bux. If i had a spare like I usually do I'd sell it to you for 80 bux to help out a fellow LT owner. I'm using my spare in my 96 since the one i originally had broke. I broke the soliniod to starter housing. If you have a starter and wanted to change soliniods and or internals i'll let it go real cheap. It worked 100% when i took it out of my car since the housing broke.

Let me know so I can send it out asap.

I just replaced the starter in my car last weekend.
I went with a Mini gear reduction starter from Summit. It was only $110. It works great.

Feedback looks good.. of course this is recent feedback so who knows how long the starter will last. I may just swap the solenoid to my old starter.. because I think that is what is wrong with mine, it still turns over fast.. just doesn't turn over at all half the time..

If my car was an A4 I was be more likely to shell out the extra dough for the best starter.. but being an M6.. I've pushed started my car on my own several times.. and I've just been parking on a hill at work. So I don't have to worry about being stranded. I'm going to go ahead and order it.. and I'll give you guys some feedback if I have problems.

i think the Camaro's and T/A's use the same starter from 93-97 for sure. All though the starter on my bro's 99 T/A looks the same. if it still turns over quickly it may be that ur internals are full of clutch materila. use some brake cleaner or Carb and choke cleaner to clean it out and see how it does.

on my car i got an lt4 corvette starter. its actually smaller and lighter than the fbody starter and its a factory high torque starter. i got it from autozone for $120 with my core. it looks totally different but it works and fits excellent.

I've been thinking about something like that when my starter gets tired, do you notice it spinning the engine over any quicker?

I have ordered it already. Thanks for the offer. In what way did you have to modify the stock bolts?
