Re: Changing headers

Make sure to install some new spark pugs and wires while your down there. I recommend the NGK Iridiums plugs and Taylor 8mm wires . But as far as new motor mounts? Im not too sure, depends on how many miles you have on them . When i did my longtube Jet Hots, I had a real pain getting in the driver side one so i removed my motor mount, but it was complety fine with only 49000 miles .

Re: Changing headers

While you have the old exhaust out, it would definitely be easier to swap the motor mounts. A poly replacement would be a good choice. I bought the poly Prothane motor mounts and they ran under 50 bucks. You can get them at Summit, Jegs, or most of our Supporting Vendors. Plugs and wires as mentioned above isa good idea. Granted Pacesetter does supply a set of bolts and header gaskets that do a adequate job, it would probably be wise to upgrade to a better set of gaskets and locking header bolts.
