changing the fan temp
changing the fan temp
hey everybody i would like to know how i can change my temp settings for the fan, i do not want them running at stock anymore. i would like to have it so where the temp doesnt go pass the middle. but i would like to kno if i dont run stock temp of the fans would that affect my car or if it will run bad. i heard if u run it cooler it runs faster. thank u anybody with any info on my thread.
Re: changing the fan temp
It would be best to install a lower temperature thermostat (160 is most popular) and have the PCM reprogrammed (I suggest www.pcmforless.com) to turn the fans on at a lower temperature.

But as an FYI, you can run a 160 Deg Thermostat alone, and they temps will rarely climb higher than 1/2 way. I did this for 2 years without any issues.

My PCM Reprogrammed + 160 Deg Thermo, and this past summer the temps sat at 1/3 in 100 Deg Heat & 5 MPH Traffic... So worth reprogramming, but not JUST for the fan settings
