Need an engine harness for a 96 Z28, 6 speed car. GM can't get me one, and painless wants a grand for a new one.. Checking local salvage yards but it's not going very well.

Where would I have some luck in finding one? I'm open to all options, it's november and i need to move her in to nest for the winter!

You should have qualified your question by adding the word "cheap". Unfortunately you will only find one in a JY that has the engine out. BUT, you might end up with one worse than you started with.

There are several sights around the US that you can find used parts. Here is but one of them. http://www.getusedparts.com/

Fill out the form and they contact you when they find the part.

In the mean time I suggest you learn how to PUSH the car into it's "nest".

 

If you go new your going to pay out the *** for one period.

Shouldnt be hard to find on one of those sights for probubly around 100-150 bucks if its uncut and in good shape.

Thank you everyone! I've got a ton of good leads now and i'm hopeful that I can get one in soon and exchange it. I'm hoping whatever smoked the harness didn't smoke the computer as well, that'd be a kick in the teeth!

100 for auto, 150 for M6. That's for uncut and unburned ones. Pay more is a rip off imo. I payed $80 for my M6 but that was about 3 years ago. They are getting hard to find.
