Changed my plugs
Changed my plugs
Well today I changed my plugs because of a naging miss I've had lately. Despite all the horror stories I've heard it only took about 1 1/2 hours. This could have been cut down dramatically had I not had two problems.
1: I spent almost 20 minutes trying to wrestle the plug socket of the #7 plug after installing. Turns out the socket got jammed between the head and plug.
2: I dropped the plug wire for #6 and it took 15 minutes to fish it out. It fell into the area where the header pipes merge and I couldn't reach it from below.
On the good news side it only took about 5 minutes to change the dreaded #2 plug after I removed the alternator and right side header air tube.
OH yea. Miss is gone, car runs awsome.

Re: Changed my plugs
Best tool for changing plugs with headers is the "modified plug socket" Its just cut nice and short so you can easily get it on there. SLP sells one but you can get the same one on ebay for like $7.
