I ran my sig with an auto and stock converter before swapping in the M6. The brakes would hold this setup but the car would roll about 7mph without the brakes on. Great power and an excellent choice for a street car imo. Adding a 2400-2800 converter and it would be perfect.

You don't need a BIG cam to go fast.
I use the 268xfi or 07-466-8.
Good power with great drivability.
For the type of driving he is doing its a good choice.
Here is my friends car a heads cam 305 in the 10's
He is in the right lane.

I don't think its so much our mentality that you can go fast with a smaller cam, but what we think about is him leaving power on the table, no reason to buy good heads, if you do not have a good cam. Its like buying a 255lph fuel pump for a geo metro.

Primarily concerned about drivability and decent power. I will get it tuned/dynoed after it is built. I have a Gift Certificate from Summit (my Christmas present ), so it has to be an off the shelf cam that they sell. I did some research and the CC503 seems like a good choice, but I just wanted to make sure and I am open to any suggestions. A lopey idle is fine or a smooth idle - doesnt matter to me. I will be buying supporting mods also (headers, injectors, fuel pump, etc...). Thanks!

Re-read what he wrote and tell me a cc306 is a good choice?
