cc306 Questions

i will be installing the cc306 over the winter and can't decide what RR's to go with. I thought about getting the 1.7's but my buddy says they will be too much trouble and wouldn't be a good idea. What do you guys think, should I get the 1.6's or the 1.7's? What would the lift difference be??

I would just go with the 1.6's...A lot of people have them and can give you tips with them...like the Crane Gold's SA 1.6's...or the CC pro mags'..

The CC306 is already a big cam. I would do the math to find out what kind of lift numbers you are going to get. Then go from there to determine if that is what you want or not.

Especially on stock heads Idont think you would need 1.7s. They are cheaper though and do look nice in anodized.

Yeah I will probably just get the 1.6's...but I am gonna keep researching and see. It will be about a month or so before I will install the cam anyway.

1.6, if you go up to 1.7's the exhaust side of the cam will have a little over 600 lift. I know you'd probably need better valve springs that what you've got for the exhaust side.

Plus I don't know with the stock bottom end if you'd have clearance issues with 600+ lift.

Thanks for all of the advice, I think I have made my mind up to just go with the 1.6's. Sounds like a better idea.
