Were the heads and cam on a 396 stroker because there is no way you are losing 57hp by having a cc306 over an 847. I would say that your car is simply not running correctly or the guy was fibbing about the numbers he put down with the heads.

I got the heads from Ebay for a great price. They looked real good even though he had no flow #'s. The ports are HUGE! He told me they flowed 28X/205 @ .600. They were on a Vette with the GM847 and put down 425RWHP in CA. I just might get a bigger cam to see what it does!

They were on a 355 so I would think my 357 would have liked them. I agree with you, my car is NOT running right. Not sure about those #'s since he didn't have a flow sheet.

The larger the port the more you hurt velocity. You want a small port that flows a lot.

Well as long as it doesnt have issues of very high velocities that cause sonic choke in certain areas such as the short side radius.... generally smaller is better, but it has to be VERY well done.

Not to the extent that you'd only make 368 rwhp with your setup. There are a lot of guys with similar setups, on a stock LT1 intake over 400 rwhp. How many miles are on your motor?

25k miles since the 357 rebuilt. I guess I'll just see what else I can do with my setup, something must be wrong.
