You might have to play with the valve covers, i did when i put in my pro mag 1.6's. Just bending the lil metal supports in the valve cover. You should not have to do ANYTHING to the heads besides install springs. And i agree about the 224/230 XE, i know two ppl besides Offspring that have run them, it performs very nice.

Re: ???? on a cc306 cam

I set mine at 1050rpm idle just to calm down the lope so it wouldnt be so obvious that I was running a decent sized cam. Its about a tame idleing now as a hot cam. The car performs flawlessly in bumper to bumper traffic. The SPEC4 clutch makes it alittle more of a chore but other than that its great.

For the guy who was asking a bout the 1.6 rr's if you get the Crane 1.6 rr's or the GMPP 1.6 you dont have to modify the valve covers.

230/244 .510/.540 112 LSA w/ 1.5 Rockers

Good Luck getting Overton to make you a cam, I tried for a few months with no reply. He's more than likely getting ready for race season and his business. You'll be better off with Bret Bauer seeing as how he could probably whip you one up in a week, plus hes available to answer questions, did I mention a swell guy, Libra, and loves pizza.

The CC306 is an awesome camshaft. Its proven itself to be a worthy contender in multiple setups [heads/cam, cam + bolt on's, and any combination plus N2O]

Selecting your camshaft should be base on many things. Goals, wether it be RWHP/RWTQ, 1/4 ET and/or Traps, drivibilty, etc.

Re: ???? on a cc306 cam

A friend of mine has a cc306 in his 95z and it drives like stock once its warmed up, he even has the M6/3.42 combo. If you get a good tune, the cam will be very drivable. Also, I have a Joe O cc306 sized cam for sale if anyone is interested. There is a post in the classifieds.

Dont forget that you have to spin the crap out of the engine to get all the power the cc306 has, i think it goes all the way to 6500 RPMS.

DO a search for madz28's post about cam selection. I thought it was pretty good
