do you have and trouble driving due to lopy idle,what gears are you running,how much power does it make and what do you shift at

Yes, a lot of guys run CC306s in 6 speed cars. These cars typically trap 110-115 mph.

345-355 rwhp is the norm the the CC306 in a 6 speed car.

I have that setup, don't know rwhp, but the engine dyno'd at 430hp/454tq, I have 3.42 gears, and it is an easily driveable car.

No driveability problems, make sure the tune is on the money though or you will get cam surge like crazy...

355rwhp/330rwtq with a tune from a known shop
380rwhp/360rwtq with me tuning it with the TunerCAT but who cars about racing dyno's...
503rwhp/560rwtq with a shot of NX gas (dangerously lean though)....

11+:1 Static CR, Ported LT1 Intake, 58mm BBK TB, Hooker 1 3/4 LT's Offroad Exhaust, 3" Catback

Cars new owner went 12.0 @ 115 NA, a couple months ago...

Run a 4.10 gear minimum.

dumb question but who makes the cc306 cam i have a lt4 hot cam and now by reading im thinking i should go with the cc306 because i want a pruty lumpey sound allong with good peformance

its the competition cams hr290 if i remember correctly.IMO its the best cam for the mild to agressive lt1. I too was going to go hotcam but changed my mind and went with the 306. Its been proven over and over as a bullet proof cam. It responds pretty well to a nitro shot too.
