Whatcha Think?

I am installing a GM performance LT1 - LT4 converstion kit, 3600 Torque Convertor, Richmand 3.73 gears, BBK 58mm Throtle body, K&N cold air intake, Ford Racing 30pound Fuel injectors, Vortech intake elbow, MSD Sparkplug wires, Motorvation pulleys, Edelbrock Headers, Flowmaster 2 1/2 Exhaust, Computer programmed by FastChip. I have Stock Tires and Suspenion and am in Northern Utah (high alt). What do you guys think about my setup and how fast do u think i will run in the 1/4 mile? What else u think i should add to my car besides the bottomend.

Re: Whatcha Think?

I'd recommend ditching those headers and exhaust, both are going to hold you back a lot. A good set of longtubes and a better exhaust will probably get you another easy 30hp with that setup. Can't reallly tell you because of the difference in altitude but down here that'd probably run mid 12s if you hook and get a good 60, with longtubes and a better exhaust you'd probably be low 12s.

Some Mac midlengths would be better than those edlebrocks. Definately a 3" exhaust. Other than that it will run nicely. Get a slight port job on those heads if you got a few extra bucks laying around.

Re: Whatcha Think?

Well the edelbrock use a 1 1/2 inch primary tube size into a 1 5/8, imo 1 1/2 i way to small for these car. Even 1 5/8 is small, optimal gains are seen with 1 3/4 inch headers.
