CC305/rod clearance in a 383 question

Hey all, I am looking to put a 383 Shortblock under my recent top end rebuild. I was wondering if there were any issues with the rods (reconditioned LT1) clearing a CC305 camshaft??? My machine shop is telling me that the cam must be a small base circle in order to work? If anyone has any experience with this camshaft in a stroker motor, I would be interested in hearing your results. Thanks in advance.

A small base is generally needed.

Usually a rod with a bolt rather than a cap screw will not clear and ya need a .930-.950 base circle.
Just don't use that cam in my builds.

I have run the GM 847, and XE 224/230 with the Eagle rods which are beefier through the rod bolt area with no problem.
