I've driven in cars that have run both setups and it seems like the hotcam pulls better on the top end. The hotcam seems to pull pretty strong to 6100+ whereas the cc305 seems to die at 5800rpm. Has anybody else noticed this as well?

 

Were both cars identical? Maybe there were different supporting mods that improved or hurt the performance of either one? My vote goes for the 305.

 

Im using the 305H and it works for me!! The blocks a 355 check the sig for the other stuff. Its ran 12.005 with slicks and 15 lbs.

 

What was your mph with the cc305? My friend traps 110-111 mph on his stock headed lt1 with the hotcam and I trapped 113mph with a hotcam and self ported stock heads. The reason I'm asking is because I both cams sitting in my garage and I'm wondering what one to put in???

 

I do not have experiance with the CC305 but I can tell you that with Hot Cam Kit, SLP 1.75" headers and pcmforless tune my car pulls to 6200 rev. limiter. Stock heads, gutted converter, stock cat back exhaust. Hope this info helps good luck with the project.
