CC305 or CC306 Dyno Sheets to Post Up?

Been researching a good cam for my LT1. At first, I've been thinking of the CC306, but after some reading, I see it pushes the peak power up into the mid 6K RPM's. I have a stock bottom end and don't want to risk spinning a bearing or break something. I also read that many take their stock bottom end LT1's up to 6200RPM's with no damage so that is where I'm targetting my peak RPM....JUST to be safe, but still get a great bang for the mod.

I've also read that the CC305 has a little less power but the peak is lower.

I was wondering if anyone had mods similar to mine and had a CC305 or 306 cam AND has a dyno graph to post up. I'd love to see what they look like.

My car is a stock LT1 engine block & heads & internals, with an A4 (stock torque converter). Mods are LT ceramic headers, ORY, cats deleted, Magnaflow catback, CAI, 58mm TB, MadZ28 PCM tune (will be tuned for the new mods). With the cam, I plan to get 1.6 rockers, stiffer springs/pushrods/seals/etc & 30lb SVO injectors.

Stock block and heads with an A4 oem stall combined with a 306 is not what I would recommend. If your choice is between those two cams given your stated mods, then go with the 305.

mine peaks at 5900-6000rpm so I shift at 6200rpm.

if you dont plan on getting a converter, go with the CC503. a buddy of mine just dynoed his cc503 cam only car with stock converter and made about 325-330 rwhp. said it drives fine too.

I am cam only cc305. 330rwhp through an A4 w/3200 stall. The car has a 100 shot of Nitrous so the plugs are gapped smaller. I may be losing
1-5 hp due to that.

Torque curve is flat from 3000 to 6000 rpms.

I like the way the car sounds and performs.

Other mods in sig.

I'm glad I didnt go any smaller than a CC306 or I'd be kicking myself for wasting the time to install it. Now I wish I went bigger and probably will soon. But some say I'm over kill...big deal I have a 1-ton truck trans
