Why buy small? I love my 306, and it is very streetable. Just make sure you get good valve springs no matter which cam you choose. I like the Crane 10308-1 kit, under two hundred for springs with dampers, retainers, locks, and seats, and they are more than suitible for the 306 or 847. .600 lift at 7K rpm...
