causes for high end miss

ok i've been through the whole car a couple times now. but im sure im missing something
what its doing is around 5800 it will cut out for a second then go past that rpm without a problem...

i've changed opti's 3 times, 3 different plugs and wires, 2 different coil, 2 ignition box, ignition moduel, valve springs, fuel pump, cam and their other stuff im sure i missed...
i had k motio valve springs and went with comp cam 987s
i had the 306 cam and stepped up to a custom cam from furtal motorsports

i've also added another ground to the car.

here is what it looks like on the dyno

any ideas? i've had this for a couple years now, and i'm getting kind of sick of it.

Sounds like a nice setup. I assume that you have had the PCM programmed and that it is not boogered.

Never mind. I see that you have LT1 edit. Maybe your rev limiter is a bit boogered. Good luck. Let us know what you find out.

yeah i tuned it.

the factory rev limiter is at 7000 and my accel is set at 6700

i have my shift light set at 6500 and it misses way before i see it... so i know its not because the tach is off.

I would strongly recommend you log it using freescan or something of the like when it happens.

It looks to me like a sensor or something is cutting out momentarily and the cars adjusting accordingly. Just an idea...
Could be the MAP, TPS or MAF. Sounds like youve narrowed it down to NOT an ignition problem. Hopefully a log will show something out of whack when it happens.

Re: causes for high end miss

this is a scan that was taken at the same time as the dyno graph.
i dont see any strange except for the rpms seem to drop then go back up on the high end.

Re: causes for high end miss

i got some more data master scans if anyone wants to look at them... the only strange thing i can see if that the rpms drop and the reading on the maf goes down... it only drops a little so i dont think the maf is failing
