S-10 headers , which are the best?

Hi everyone, me and a freind are putting an LT1 into an 92 S-10 pick-up using the stock-type LT1 motor mounts from a 93 F-body.

We are running only a low mount alternator so accessories in the way like A/C box and such will be a no-issue.

The motor is a 355 with 12:1 compression and will be running about a 175 shot of nitrous (wet). We were thinking of 1 7/8s but would 1 3/4 work fine?
The car will be limited street use mainly race.

What brand and style do you people reccomend and are using?

Re: S-10 headers , which are the best?

i had a set of 1 5/8 / 3" sanderson shorties on my s-10, think it's just sandersonheaders.com and also if you are going to go ballz out, get a set of long tubes from lees high tech, think it's lht.com. you will have to remote mount the oil filter, but they work great.

also, you could have gone to jtr.com jags that run, picked up a set of conversion engine mounts and used 2.8 liter v6 motor mounts.

good luck.

Thanks for the locations for some headers.

We already modified and welded the crossmember to accept the factory F-bod mounts.
