Cats/Headers Question

Hey guys... I think after the positive response to my last question I'm going to keep my pacesetter longtubes... New question though....

What can I do for cats? Do i need to buy cats that fit at the end of the collectors and then hook to the Y-pipe? Or is there another option?
I have to get cats one way or the other, because in MD, they're required. Thanks for your time guys!!!

Chop up the y pipe, after each collector have a cat. Have each cat welded to the ypipe.

Do you think a setup like that would pass MD inspection though? I like the idea of two up front because that's closer to a stock cat setup look... But then again... that's why I'm asking questions

Re: Cats/Headers Question

If it where me I would try to run two small one's where that hump is on the passenger's side to avoid ground clearence issues. I don't think that's feasible w/ the y-pipe you have thought. I would recommend that you run them farther down your pipes though b/c they'll have less influence on hp losses.
