Pull your y-pipe off and get a very large prybar (or any long, sharp object). Pound your prybar into the cat with a hammer until you feel it break through the ceramic material. Shake out any crap that comes loose and do it over again. You're done when you can shake the y-pipe without anything rattling inside the converter. It should only take you about 20 minutes, tops.

Just get a long object and pound that cat like there's no tomorrow.
