Question Cat delete

Hi guys of superior 4th gen knowledge,

I was wondering if I could buy a 3 or 4 inch wide pipe, I could unbolt my cat and insert it in it's place. I have a 94 (one cat under passenger) and a wide open borla. What do you guy's think?

I have the off road pipe but the exhaust pulses on my single pipe blew the crap out of my muffler. Maybe it was a defective muffler or age... but I put on a new muffler and installed a Dynatech Exhaust Insert Cone to help straighten the exhaust. Has a very nice tone. Don't know if that will help the muffler but I'll do my best to blow out the stuffing...

...the main question is if I have to weld/unweld the pipe, or if it bolts/unbolts, so I could switch back easily?

Yes, it is illegal to tamper with the emission equipment. You can only use the Off Road Pipe at the track then must replace it before you ride the public highways.

You can unbolt the pipe at the rear of the pipe using the standard cat two bolts. The front can be expanded and fit over the exit of the collector (that's my set up) and then tightened with a muffler clamp.

That way I can strap on the CAT at the track when I leave.

I have my shop put flanges on the ends of both the cat and pipe so that i could make it interchangable when i take my test...

so yes, it can be done!
