Dyno graph interpretation please

Compareing my before and after dyno graphs I can now see there is something VERY wrong.

The point where my HP and TQ cross on the old one is about 5200-5300 rpm. However in my new dyno the point where they cross is exactly 4600 rpm.

Does anyone have a clue what that means?

well,

it means that your car is slow and that a MAF car is always going to be superior to you speed density car!

i am interested to see what people say. you have a nice strong running car and i honestly did expect better numbers out of your motor? good luck man

p.s. it's looking good for you at the bank this summer, my boss was impressed!

It means that the new graph wasn't plotted with the same Y-axis scales for torque and horsepower. Look at the left and right sides, and you'll see two different scales. Not a problem, but you might re-plot it on the same scales if you have the data file.

I was thinking the same thing as dave.

HP and TQ always meet at the same point on every engine (5270 maybe, i forget) because they are functions of each other.

KC, its confusing, but some dyno shops do that so that you can have a bit more resolution with TQ and HP graphs both, I would rather see it the typical way, maybe they can do that for you if you ask OR simply ask them to email you the dyno files and then download the free dyno run viewer (if its a Dynojet, not sure about others.

Here is an example where they do not cross at 5250/5252
