cat convertor problems
cat convertor problems
i have recently lost some power in my car. i heard a rattling noise coming from underneath. i have been told it's my cat converter. i want to know should i replace it or get it cut out. and if i do get it cut out how do i avoid having the engine light go on? thanks for the help!
Well, I never heard of anyone running a cat on one side and no cat on the other. I'd recommend removing both if one of them is bad. Or replace the bad one with a new cat.
As for the light, you could either have it reprogrammed or buy an o2 simulator.
