cat??

my friend just went to aap today he got 3 codes.. manifold air temperature (MAT) sensor reading too low, ignition system is grounded, and a mass air circuit problem.. however.. he didnt get these codes til his cat clogged up, its in the shop right now.. can this cause all of the codes above? will it fix it with a new catalytic converter? thanks in advance

edit* just how much can a clogged cat effect a car? the cat was glowing red after 5 minutes of idling, is it just clogged?

Can't see how a clogged cat would affect the IAT sensor, MAF sensor or the IC circuit. Generally a good idea to get the exact codes, since its easier to sort things out that way. Was the IAT (MAT) code for low "temperature" or low "voltage"? There are 4 different codes for the MAF sensor.
