cast or forged for LE2

I am getting a LE2 set-up for my car and am wondering what most of you use for your short block. I will probaly spray 100 shot on top of that set-up and just wondering what lives the best for this power level. Thanks Art

Forged pistons, for sure. Stock crank and rods in good shape would be fine.

Depends on RPMs and if you plan to ever go higher than 100hp.

If you're buying new parts, why not at least get decent ones? I'd say forged pistons and rods with ARP bolts and get the stock crank freshened up. If you have the money, get a forged crank for extra assurance.

The stock crank is better than a cheap aftermarket crank. Ditto for the rods.

planning the same adventure, so forged pistons, good rods, with arp studs with a LE2 setup, a 100 shot will be good (meaning about 500rwhp)? how i8mportant is the rod upgrade?

I would definitely go forged, especially if you are going to top it off with a shot of spray.
