Which Cars can I take

I just bought a stock 97 Firebird Formula with a 6 Speed manual. I was wondering if I could take all 4.6 liter mustangs? How close will I run with my uncles 2001 automatic Corvette or 2002 automatic Trans Am? What are the most cost effective mods for an LT1. Finnally, what does the term "double clutch" mean? Sorry for all the questions.

First, find a 4.6L Mustang guy, and ask him to run you. Then ask your uncle to run you in both of his cars. That way, you will have all the answers to your question.

pending on how well you can launch an F-bod you will probably be able to take a stock mustang, as for the vette and the LS1 TA, you'll need a lil more power to take them

If you know what your doing driving a stick you'll be ok with GT's. The older Cobra's 96-98 i believe ? They are like a drivers race. And the 03 Cobra's , theyre WEAK , race one for cash

Double clutching is something you will NEVER have to do in your car. It is only something you'll have to do when shifting an anceint car , or a big-rigg ... Double Clutching is when you ...
1 - Depress the clutch.
2 - Shift to Nuetral.
3 - Let out the clutch ( This Synch's gears or something along those lines)
4 - Depress clutch
5 - Match engine to the correct RPM for the next gear
6 - Shift into that gear
7 - Let out the clutch

As previously stated, this is only done on big-rigs , ya no like tractor trailors and stuff. And you wont have to do it EVER in your car inless you swap trannies and put in something that sucks and needs to be double clutched lol

Dont " " me on this tho because this is what i was told. I could be off with some of the steps slightly , but thats the basic proceedure i think.

Come on man, we're here to help each other out...not to lie to each other and make someone think something that isn't true.

no mater who you want to race or with what. Do yourself a favor and do it in a legal manner although not as exciting, your insurance and your wallet will thank you. Especially if you want to keep that new car.

He does have a point, even if its a far drive to the track , go there ... Im not saying its safer, cause street racing in a deserted area at a light isnt all that dangerous ... but get caught racing and your ****ed ... I knew a kid at school who got pulled over for racing his Integra ( Pity me lol ... ) he got a ticket for racing, lost his liscence for like 6 months, and got wrote up for wreckelss driving because he chirped tires at a 4k launch lol ... Go figure when he got pulled over the cop said he wasnt even speeding (It was in a 55 zone so i guess the race lasted for about 10 seconds ? ) and now that he has his liscence back , his insurance is trippled ... not trying to be a limp **** bout it , but really , dont street race ... Its jsut as easy to go to a track , and there , there are more ppl who are willing to race lol
