my 95 trans am will not stay running, i,ve had alot of rain this week and i believe it may be the distributor!? can anyone help me with my problem? also something is draining my battery??

 

i'm having the same problem with mine. also seems to be weather related....


starts up and runs for maybe a second, then just dies....and for about 10 seconds afterward, the fan stays on....super loud.

my dad an i believe it might be a fan sensor, stealing juice from the battery instead of sending it to the fuel pump. but i have no idea why the weather would affect that.


anyone else know? i'd like to get this thing running right

 

check your alternator?

 

alternator is brand new about a month old

 

]my car will start but it won't stay running. something in my car is draining my battery, and my buddy told me it may be my distributor, any another told me an electrical problem!? i heard that a bad headlight motor can drain ur battery, but the other day i tried to start it and it started to smoke around the drivers side headlight. so i'm thinking water got through my hood from all the rain an shorted wires in my engine??? plz help....




95 pontiac TA LT1: k&n cold air intake, hookerheaders, speedchip, stage 2 computer, catback exhuast w/ electronic cutout, possi rear, racing gears,msd everything, m. thompson street radial slicks, pushing about 388 hp..
