Car won't start now... please help

Ok, I changed the MAP and Coolant Sensors on my car. Car still doesn't idle right. So what happened was, I was given the idea of opening my throttle blades more (They were completely closed), re-adjusting my TPS, and getting my IAC Count down. Which is a definite possbility of this idle problem.

I get to the shop to start this little procedure, and to my dismay I find out that the car was in the "Key on, car off" phase. Battery completely dead. So F*CK!! I get the charger and hook it up, car won't even start!! wtf?

So I figured, let me wait a little and start the TPS thing. Got maybe 3 full turns on the backing nut for the throttle body and did most of the notching on the tps. Got it to .90 right now, still got a little ways to go but it's a work in progress...

Car still won't start. You can smell fuel coming from the tube (Going from the TB to the Valve Cover) and see smoke/fumes coming from it. So my guess is there is plenty of gas in there... just to much.

It sounds like it wants to crank over, I get lucky every now and then and it tries to crank over... but to no avail. Now i'm wondering, did he bastards mess up my car? Are the cylinder walls flooded? The oil was pretty thin and dark for what should be brand new oil and less then 45 minutes of on time.

It cranks, just doesn't... it sounds like it wants too. Just doesn't do it anymore. Funny thing is though, it started fine on Friday. But today when I get there at 1:30PM. Car is moved, key on/car off, battery completely dead, and drivers side window opened. They obviously did something to the car, just have to figure out wtf they did now.

Charge your battery and see if it holds a charge. If not, replace it. As far as fixing a throttle body, not that difficult of a thing to do. If sensors are bad, just unscrew them and screw new ones in. If it needs adjusting, just hold it up to a light and adjust the stop screw until you see the least amount of light coming through.

Am I the only one here who thinks the throttle body may be open too much? In addition to that, my TPS voltage is 0.56 closed. 0.90 it calculates as 10% throttle, so thats probably throwing even more fuel at it.

My guess is it's one of the two.

The throttle body wasn't open at all for the first startup. I was working on getting my IAC Count down... not to start the car. I think the cylinders are just floored with Gas... great for rings. WooT Brand new motor.

Try key off, floor the car, then try to start. It will put it into a clear flood mode with minimal fueling.

That's the ticket. And change the oil real soon.
