car won't start, need help!

ok about a week ago my car started to miss so i put it on a scanner and it showed all cylinders firing properly and showed that the crank sensor is recieving no signal.....

so the missing gets MUCH worse, where it will barely run, and finally, it won't run at all....

dealerships and parts houses say that a 95 lt1 didn't come with a crank sensor so i check the coil wire and its receiving fire but the spark plug wires aren't receiving fire from the ignition module (i think thats what its called) (4 plug wires on one side, and 4 wires on the other)

so i guess the next step is to pull off the water pump and crank pulley and try to see what i can get to....

If anyone has had similar problems PLEASE help me out with ANY information... THANKS ALOT !!!

You're talking about your distributor? Opti, or whatever? Those things suck, it cost me a lot to get a new one.

So you are saying that you can pull the coil wire off at the optispark and have spark, but nothing at a plug wire? That would mean your ICM is ok and that the secondary ignition side of the opti is your problem. Probably time for a new opti.

Crank position sensors are on 1996 and 1997s.
