hey guys this is my first post,I have a 97 trans am with 101,600 miles.
decided to replace the original opti,water pump,coil etc.well i put the opti and the water pump in and decided to start the car to make sure the opti was in correct,the car started up ran for 5 seconds and i shut her down,I knew it would throw some codes because all the sensors weren't hooked up and i would use my scanner to clear them later.finished hooking everything else up and now she won't start at all,doesn't even want to start.what do you guys think,i haven't cleared the codes yet do you think thats what the problem is? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

 

When I put a new opti in my 96, it did the exact same thing. I got it started though. I pressed the throttle in all the way, kept cranking and it eventually fired. It's been running fine since.
