Car wont start after rebuild, please help.
Re: Car wont start after rebuild, please help.
Can someone do me a favor and try and ohm the two middle connections on the icm connector and ohm out the two outter two and tell me if they ohm out. I am trying to see if they are supposed to ohm out. Because I am getting continuity between the two outside two and the two inside two.
Also, are their any wires under the steering column that may cause the car not to get any spark that I can test?
Thanks.

Also looking at my Haynes troubleshooting manual it says connector to the ICM is B5, where is this located on the engine? Is it connected to the pcm? And if so which wiring harness, Grey, Blue, Red, or Black?
Re: Car wont start after rebuild, please help.
Please help. Someone must know where the connection to the ignition coil module is on the pcm side. I dont want to unhook all my wiring and have to trace down the 4 wires that go to the ICM by cutting open the wire loom if I dont have to.
Re: Car wont start after rebuild, please help.
Ok, using shoebox's site I was able to trace down this far and I have found out that everything tests good. Everything in Red is good. I have ohmed them out and or followed the haynes manual on how to check to make sure it is functioning properly. The only thing left is to check the B connector that goes from the ignition from the pcm to the ignition module and make sure it is getting the 1-4vAC. If It is, then the ICM is bad?

Re: Car wont start after rebuild, please help.
I went down to my local parts store and tested my old coil against a new coil and everything checked out fine. So the coil is defiantly good, the optispark is new, the optispark harness is new, the battery is new, the starter turns over fine, the alternator is a year old, only thing left is either the pcm or the ignition coil module?
I was able to upload via tunercat though, so I believe the pcm is fine....
Any ideas?

If battery is week it probably won't turn fast enough to start.
Is the opti installed correctly?

Re: Car wont start after rebuild, please help.
Yes fuel system is defiantly up to par. I think I may have found my problem... FINALLY!!
I opened up my knee bolster and I found this...

It looks as though I have a python 1000 alarm system, if you look at the second picture there isnt a wire hooked up. I dont know if that is supposed to be hooked up or not.
I also removed my battery during my engine swap. I have heard of ignition cut out thats built into alarms... I wonder if that is what my problem is.
I am googling this python trying to figure out how to enable the stupid thing. I have a two button clicker on my keychain. The left one open and closes the door locks and the one on the right stops some time bomb ticking noise... ?

Ok, I am half way done with the removal of the security system. Hopefully after it is removed the car will start like normal.
Nothing worse than a cheap security system.
