Car Won't start??????

Okay here it goes pulled car in garage the other night
when it snowed. Fired right up first crank. when out the next day bout 6 PM and it won't start act liek it wnats to start but won't. If your crank it and hold the throttle wide open it'll just stumble. but if you don't give it gas it won't do anything just turn over. So here it goes

took plug out they look fine. Bosh Platinum's

Laid it on teh k-member and had some one crank it over it sparked a little blue spark. so next were going to get the tool to take the fuel lines off and see if it's gettin fuel.

IF it's sparkin it can't be the opti right????????

any suggetsions will help!!!!!!!!

check for fuel pressure with a gauge on the test port (near the back of the intake manifold). as soon as you turn the key to on (fuel pump should prime) pressure should shoot up to at least 40psi and stay there.

try the plugs and maybe a coil if plugs don't help. Sounds like it could be the opti though.

Not sure who makes a decent aftermarket coil, I remember reading a while ago about some people complaining their MSD coils kicked the bucket shortly after they installed them.

Opti isn't too hard to install. The water pump, coil, fans and air pump have to come off if I remember correctly. While you're there you should check to see if the weep hole on the water pump is leaking at all, if it is then you'll kill your new opti pretty quick. And make sure you get the optio on correctly. It's a bit of a PITA to get on properly. It will slide on easy and it will sit perfectly flush against the mounting holes when it's on properly.

You may want to look into a vented opti conversion also, I believe '94 was the last year of the non-vented opti which seem to be more prone to failure, I think they also cost tad bit more.

Could ya give me the # to Jason Cromer. I always heard he HAd THE BEST DEALS EVER on the opti from everyone. I called the local parts house $450 for not vented which was rediculous. Or if any one knows any other good deals. Which i think he's deals are really hard tyo beat.

Thanx Brake

Just because you got fuel pressure dont mean you have fuel. Check the fuel injectors fuse located in the fuse box under the hood. You can also check if they are firing with a cheap noil light for about $5.

Check if youre getting any codes. That can pin-point the problem if its sensor related such as your TPS, MAP, or MAF. Any significant problem with either would prevent your car from starting.

you can use that tool to see if the injectors are firing or are you talking about the one for the plugs?
