Angry Car won't hold idle!?

I am having problems with my car. The startup is weak. My loudmouth doesn't explode like it usually does when I start it . It is idling at 600rpm(Im not sure where it is supposed to idle). After I start it up it dies. It will idle for a few seconds and quit. This has happened three times today.

A little background info: It is the stock programming with the only serious mod being a NX 100 shot w/ window switch. It was installed in october and right before I put the car away in november. Before I put it away the startup began to get weak. When I went to get it in march it wouldn't start. I towed it to my TRUSTED mechanic and he said that something in the fuel pump "melted" and needed to be replaced. He replaced the fuel pump and the car worked great until now. So what is going on? Any help is appreciated.

No problem it stands for Idle Air Control. Its a sensor located on the bottom of your TB. It controls how much air goes through the TB when the blades are closed. Its primary function is to maintain a preset idle.

Is it the same problem as you had before the car went into storage? If so you better holler at your mechanic. Do you get a service engine light? There are so many things, do you hear air wooshing? Could it be a vacumn leak? Take your throttle body off and clean it up with some brake parts cleaner. Take the IAC out and clean it as well. If you could get one of those fuel pressure gauges that hooks up in the engine bay try that and see if your fuel pump is working correctly. Post more information and maybe we can track it down.

The car never died when this happened in november. I dont have a service engine light. I dont believe their is any air swooshing. I will try the other things and let you guys know. Thanks.
