Car wont crank. Need a couple questions answered
Car wont crank. Need a couple questions answered
First off what lifter preload is everyone using for Comp OEM lifters and secondly how can I check to see if my injectors are spraying. I pulled my plugs and I smell no fuel so I figure either my valves are way loose( they are set at a 1/2 turn past zero) or my injectors are not spraying. I checked for voltage across my injector fuses and im good. Where can I find that noid light that plugs in between the connector and the fuel injector? Thanks in advance

You can remove the bolts for the fuel rail and pull the whole thing up with the injectors on it. Hover the injectors over the holes and check for spraying while cranking.
I assume you have already checked fuel pressure.

I just thought of something this morning. I bought the injectors used of ebay. Maybe I've got low impedance injectors. How could I tell the difference other than them not working
?
Edit: Nevermind I looked up the part number and they are high impedance. I think Ill throw my 30lbs. inj back on and see what happens. I hate to run 30lbs injectors on a blown 383 but it will let me know if my 50#'s are bad. I have a tune that is set up for a blown 383 with the 50#ers. Will I cause any serious damage by using 30#ers just to get it to start.
