When I converted to OBD1 i devloped some odd cold start issues. First it revs to 1500-2000 RPM, then slowly lowers the RPM. At first this is all it did. Then it started wanting to die when I would take off until the car was warmed up. Now it revs to 1500-2000 RPM then just drops down to 0....and yeh well dies. It will continue doing this unless I keep the RPM up until it is warmed up.

any ideas?

 

Not sure if this causes your issue, but did you change the knock sensor when you did your OBDI conversion?

 

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere!

actually the high reving happened when I covnerted to OBD1, the car didnt start wantign to die on cold take off until I put on the long tube headers.
