Car throwing yet another code...please help

The code is: Random Cylinder Misfire. Lately I have thought my clutch is going bad. The way it seemed to slip up hills and under load. However the problem is getting worse and it might not be the clutch. The car misses and bucks very bad. Sometimes worse than others. The guy at Advance suggest I try plug wires first, then distributor if the wires don't fix the problem. Anyway just wanted to see what you guys thought.
THANKS
Stephen

Wanted to also add I notice that the bucking and missing seems to happen when the car gets warmed up a bit. When I first start and drive it seems to be ok. Once you drive for a few minutes the problem picks up. Hope that can help y'all narrow it down some.
Thanks

The fact that it gets worse when the engine warms up could be related to:

1) components that are subject to heat soak and breakdown:

-wire insulation
-ICModule (a real problem with heat due to location on head)
-Opti optical module

2) the changeover from open loop to closed loop.
