When i first start my car, it will idle at 2k for about 30 sec. then it goes slowly down to 900 or so. When i am driving, and come to a stop, it will do the same thing. Has anyone fixed a problem like this before?

I've found that after I clean my throttlebody the rpms will hang. Dab a little oil on the butterfly rod where it enters the body.

 

could be the iac needs to be cleaned

could also be air leaks??

 

I had this problem and it turned out to be a vacuum leak. One of the hoses going to the PCV had a big hole in it.
