Today my car stumbles then dies like it is out of gas, fuel filter or pump? Do you guys have a site that will show me how to replace the filter first?

 

The fuel filter is easy. All you need is the right size wrench (I'm not sure what size, but it's a fairly common one). The only main issue is any rust- I would spray the area with WD-40 first just to make sure you don't twist too hard and bend lines. Other than that, you'll want something to plug the lines with so you don't have gas dripping on you.

Also, a fuel pressure tester/gauge available at Autozone/Advance Auto will help a lot.

 

Thnen I went out about 15 minutes later she starts up and runs fine? Any sugggestions? I am hoping for the fuel filter!

 

Drove to autozone to get a new filter, car would not restart, currently getting towed home and I hope it's the filter, anyone else have any suggestions?

 

check the fuel pressure. If its low then replace the fuel filter. If that doesn't help you need a pump. If the pressure is fine you must have an ignition problem.

 

Thanks we will see, I am jsut going to replace the filter first unless they can check the pressure at autozone.
