Angry car stumbles during acceleration in 1st

As the title says my car stumbles in first during acceleration If i rev it higher then it doesn't stumble much. I have new motor mounts(rubber) poly trans mount clutch has less than 1000 miles on it spec stage 2, maybe down on a cylinder? no backfire no codes pertaining to that. Only codes i have are the p0335 and p0336. But before i did my cam setup car still stumbled in first and no codes , I do have a cloyes true roller in it and read that it could set those codes off. by hesitate i mean it's jumpy. once i get going it feels powerfull.

Thats how my car acted, right before my fuel pump went out and left me stranded 1.5 hours from home. Do a fuel pressure test. Mine would jump and crap out for like 6 months, then one day it died. I just replaced the pump the other night and she runs like new now. 6 months of crappy driving for a fuel pump.

You might want to have it tested again or find a buddy that has a fuel pressure tester. Thats exactly how mine ran. Does it clean up after you have run for a while?? Also, have you noticed longer start times. Do you have to crank a little longer?

yeah maybe it cranks a little bit longer. but i think that's because of the new cam/timing. I'll test it out, what's the pressure supposed to be be ? the check engine soon light is finally off. i have to adjust the valve lash again. The roller rockers are really noisy.

did you clearance the timing cover? some people are reporting that they rub on the timing cover. this would cause with the knock retard.

I did check to see if the timing chain hit and it didn't took it off to see. I'm having problems adjusting the valves i'm on my 3rd try. they are noisy. i know this can cause some knock. but the stumble or bog, not sure what to call it, occured before the head gasket / cam switch when it was running fine. the motor mounts were crappy so i replaced them. I got under the car and the transmissions pretty noisy also. it's a 6 speed.

Re: car stumbles during acceleration in 1st

The fuel pressure is fine atleast my dad said it was. i was in school when he checked. I drove the car today damn ses light is back on p0335/p0336. the problem is during acceleration from first other than that the car is fast, rev happy. The transmission makes a lot of noise in neutral. The clutch and throw bearing are new so it's not that. maybe the transmission needs a rebuild.
