Electric water pump and timing set questions...

I'm going to be either running the LE 1 head/cam package with a 125-150 shot or the LE 2 head/cam package with a 100 shot and was trying to get an idea of how much RWHP is actually lossed by using the stock water pump instead of a electric water pump. The reason for this is just because i'm not so sure I want to dish out $200+ for something that is designed to fail after not that much time.

My other question is what is the best and cheapest way to go with the timing set? i know those 2 ussually dont go together very well.. would the stock timing set with a new belt be alright? what is the best set up, i was looking at the cloyes double roller timing set with chain until i saw the $379 price next to it on a website, so that would put me at around $600 with the electic water pump and i dont really wanna blow that kindof cash on that, what is a good alternative to that? I havent really looked into this to much but what are some other options? is the comp double roller and chain a lot cheaper? any good suggestions would be appreciated.

how many miles of street driving (some highway, mostly city) do those hours actually last? My camaro is not my daily driver, but it is driven 99% of the time on the street about 1% at a track just to see what I run after doing stuff to it.
