Car still running like crap

It is still throwing a DTC 42. I spliced in a couple of new pieces of wire at the ICM connector and the PCM and it still gives this code after it runs a little while. So then I just changed the whole wire and it still came back. Do I change the connector at the ICM next? I am at my wits end any help would surely be appreciated.
PS yes I have datamaster so I have reset my pcm each time after I work on it.

DTC 42 is only supposed to set during cranking and if detected, the PCM will disable the injectors to prevent flooding. Possible causes for it are faulty ICM and/or wiring, open or grounded circuit somewhere or a faulty PCM.
If it's setting after it's been running like you say, perhaps the PCM is toast?

Yea I have read that also but it will run fine for a while and then the injectors start to cycle. My pcm is only about a year old from the dealer but I do have another one to replace it with. I had the icm checked already. I'll let you know if changing the pcm works. Thanks.

OK, so I replaced the pcm and then I drove it around. It ran real strong at first but then it started missing at about 1500 rpm's all the way up to wot. It started after it got warmed up but it never threw a code. I had datamaster hooked up and recording the whole time. I had my ICM checked (said it was good) and I have changed everything else so what do you guys think about a new ICM and a new pigtail for it? Maybe it gets hot and acts up. BTW I have done the washer mod to move it away from the block. Thanks

Mavbe it's actually a A/F ratio problem after it goes into closed loop. Try disconnecting an O2 and see if it runs better once it warms up.

The o2's are brand new too. It ran in closed loop for maybe 10-15 minutes before this started.
