couple questions
what size is the stock stud? 7/16, or 3/8?
will i need a computer tune running a higher-ratio of rocker arms since it will be increasing lift?

The stock size is 3/8". You don't need a tune for roller rockers but you do need better springs.

The stud that goes in the head is 7/16, the stud the rocker sits on is 3/8 stock.

Exactly, but if you have not bought the the rockers yet, go with the 7/16 studs and buy the 7/16 rockers. That way the studs will be more stable if you ever cam it. The Hotcam springs will be ok for now and their cheap. That should get you at least 10 or so HP. Then have one of our supporting tuners hook you up with a mail order tune and pick up another 10-15 more HP.

do u guys have any recommendations on the rockerss?
i just want to get maybe a little more lope out of my cam, maybe a little more power. Its a stock cam, so maybe i could go with 1.7s and be alright for now until i get a 383 done.

if i do 1.6s, i was thinking maybe some crane gold roller rockers?

If you plan to do a cam upgrade down the road, I would go with 1.6 ratio NSA rockers. Comp Pro-Mags would be my choice as well.

yeah, im gonna do the 1.6 pro-mags for a 7/16 stud. To upgrade the stud, what do i need? I found new studs on summit, but theres something like 7/16
x20-inch, so, what are the specs of what i need?

I believe that is the part number you'll need from Summit. CCA-4501-16 ThunderRacing sells them for almost 10 bucks cheaper.
