car stalls-any ideas??

The Trans Am will stall sometimes, pretty seldom actually, but it does happen. Only when the wheel is turned to its limit and car is barely moving. Like backing out of a tight parking space. Is this common with aftermarket cams? Also, on a side note, my daily driver has a stalling issue as well. Happens only when the car is at normal operating temp, not cold. Car will stall when making tight turns at slow speeds. It happens several times a day, at least. It's a 94 Nissan Sentra. 145,500 miles. Fluids are all new and at proper levels. Car almost dies at idle in traffic when warmed up as well, but usually doesn't stall. Why would the car's idle be too low? Any suggestions on these matters will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I heard the problem with the Nissan could be with the idle air solenoid. Can anyone tell me what an idle air solenoid is, what it does, and where it is located?

The cammed car may just need to be idled a little higher. Found out what the idle air solenoid is, what it does and where it's located. What I can't understand is if that is the problem, why the Nissan only seems to stall when at operating temp and not when cold. Come on...somebody throw me a bone here.

it's just like the idle air control motor in your f-body. it regulates the amount of air going into the engine when the throttle blade(s) is closed while the car is at idle speeds. it should be located around your throttle body. the best thing to do is go to a parts store and buy a haynes manual for your car.
