this is the second time in about a week i was coming home and suddenly when i hit the gas my car chokes out, if i let off it just idles rough, but will eventually die out. it starts righht back up and im on my way but i know my car isnt randomly suppose to die... what is goin on here. after the first time i replaced the coil to a msd coil... thats not it. suggestions? want my car to stay running when driving!!!

 

Fuel pump is dying? Monitor fuel pressure while driving with a fuel pressure gauge taped to the windshield.

 

yes i did but no while driving its at 42 psi with the motor off and key on. fuel filter is 5k miles new... computer going bad???

 

You don't drive it with KOEO. So that means nothing.

He means key on engine off.

The point is seeing what the pressure is like with the engine under load instead of under a no load situation. A stressed pump will show a drop in pressure under load conditions

 

well replaced fuel filter, hasnt happeed latly, coincedence? we will see.
