Car smokin' like a chimney... (VIDEO)

Well I think I somehow managed to blow another head gasket... Heres the video. It only does it when its warmed up and it appears to be white and smells sweet... Let me know what you guys think.

have you ever over heated the car? when you say "another head gasket" makes me wonder if you have over heated the heads and they have gotten soft. hence they don't seal as good. if the answer is yes, when you take them off have the hardness of the heads checked.

Well it happened around 1 and a half years ago. So I had the heads taken off, fully ported and milled so. They aren't warped and I didnt let it overheat this time. I also had the engine bored out at the same time and had the block shaved as well. The heads weren't warped and the block looked good so I'm assuming I somehow did something else this time. Hopefully its not a cracked block!!!!

have the hardness checked. if they took to much heat the heads will be soft and milling them won't correct it. if they are to soft by the chart you will need new heads or just keep changing gaskets. good luck man you might actually need it.

I'm gonna pull the heads next weekend. I was told that it is popular to use the impala gaskets instead. That they seal better? Are there any other tricks to help out when I do the head gasket swap? Also I have ARP head bolts and I was told not to reuse them. Is this true as well?

don't try to put a band aid on it. take the heads and have them checked.
here read this it might help you understand how important it is to have a head that tests good on the rockwell chart (scale) or other type of measuring device

The impala gaskets are actually designed for cast heads but people use the on the aluminum heads all the time. They're desirable because they're thinner then f-body gaskets so they bump up the compression a tad.

I'm taking the heads to the shop that ported them so that they can be tested for hardness. Thanks for the heads up. As for the head bolts, when I had my head gaskets replaced last time i had ARP head bolts put in. My question is can I reuse them? I was under the impression that they were reusable unlike the flex bolts or whatever that come in the camaro stock. After my rebuild I'm not hurting for compression so I think I'm gonna just go with the stock Felpro's.
