Unhappy Car is seriously heating up from undernees

Started about a month ago when changed my clutch to MacLeod single. The flywheel was resurfaced and the tranny fluid is ok.

Car runs great once cold but after a couple of hours of driving it becomes a hassle.
1. something is seriously heating up from under the car to the point it feels inside
the heat is coming from the hall of hand brake and the shifter steak is heating up that I can barely touch it. I checked under the cat and the clutch doesn't sims to be that hot but the catalytic is literary shutting the heat waives of it (I know it is the hottest spot of the exhaust but in 5 years I'm driving this car, I never seen it that bad).
2. Once hot the shifting to the first gear becomes a PITA. It gets really hard to get it to the first gear from time to time.
3. upon the release in the first gear I can feel the car is shaking a bit in the same place of the pedal travel if I release it slowly. On any other gear or if I release the clutch a bit faster it doesn't happen.
4. After driving for about 4 hours yesterday I could smell a bit of burning rubber upon acceleration.
The car is 94Z with less then 60K on it.
Can it be the aftereffects of the clogged cat or is it something to do with clutch?
Any ideas Please??

Sounds like a clogged or possibly melted cat to me. I would definately start there.

I'd go with a clogged cat/exhaust.

You could take it to a good exhaust shop, and see what they have to say.

Is the shifter to body seal intacked? I know when I got my vette the previous owner said the car was always really hot inside. Well I found NO seal and thats a big heat leak. The car must have REALLY sucked in the summer with no ac and that seal missing!
