Car is overheating...

Car is overheating...
Well now that the weather is warmer, I noticed my car overheats if I leave it sit and running, especially with the AC on. It is, however, running at normal operating temps as long as you keep the car moving. I havent checked anything yet, just wanting to get an idea of what to be looking for. I am thinking about flushing the coolant tonight, but other than that what should I be looking for?

Ha, something electrical. Thats good for this guy! I can do electronics, but I suck at mechanical stuff. When do the fans turn on, or are they always on?

Could also be that the Front Wind Dam is worn down.... In these cars that drives a lot of air into the radiator and if it's worn less air flow....
My car used to run hot in traffic, I had excellent luck with just a 160 deg Thermostat and that solved the issue.... Just really depends on how HOT and how often it gets HOT as to the best solution....

Definitly need to check to see if your fans are coming on. Check fuses etc..
The fans should turn on around 190 or so I belive. When sitting does it get near the red?
When the car is moving the air hits the radiatior so the fans are not needed, thats normal.

Yeah if I dont turn it off or get moving it will go past the red (found that out the hard way) Thankfully it didnt hurt anything. It probably just needs some coolant I would imagine.

Have you checked you fuses, sounds like the fans are not coming on. If that the case adding some coolant will not fix that, your car will still overheat.
