Question Car moves in park...

Yesterday I noticed that my park is like a neutral. I remember that it didn't do this before I did the engine swap. I know it must shift into park because the rpm adjust when switching from reverse, but why does the car move? (it doesn't move by itself like if it was in drive... only if you pushed it)
Thanks.

PS. this is a 94 LT1 with a 700R4.

Yea, before I swapped the engine, I think it was moving 2-4 inches at the most. Now, I don't think it stops at all...

I'm pretty sure that's what it is too. I remember that the shifter cable got stuck on the tranny when I was dropping the engine and I think I bent the bracket a little. I know sometimes it takes a couple of times to get it into reverse too, so I guess that's it. It didn't have the problem before and I didn't do anything to the tranny besides changing the seals, filter and fluid so I'll try readjusting the cable.

Ron,
thanks for trying to help. I ordered a 93 manual and it should come this week. I'll probably get the wiring figured out myself, but if not, I'll let you know. Either way, I was gonna ask you for some advice on bodywork/paint for this car so we'll talk about it sometime soon.
