car missing and feels like it has no power...

I just got a 95 T/A about 3 weeks or so ago. The car is an M6 and the only mods done to it are a CAI, flowmaster catback, and a centerforce clutch. When I got the car I changed all of the fluids in it (engine, trans, and rear end) Here is the problem...I was driving the car the other day, and noticed that it started to get a slight miss at lower RPM's. I didn't think to much about it. Tonight I was driving the car and the miss kept getting worse. The car idles fine, and will rev up. I drove the car home, about 25 miles, and it would run about 55 or 60 in 4th gear. when I would shift into 5th and the RPM's would drop, it would start to miss bad again. When I got the car home, I opened the hood, and saw that the back of the manifold on the pasengers side was glowing, under the heat shield. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Could it be a burnt valve in the heads? Any help would be great, and sorry for the long post.

No power and glowing exhaust? oh my

I would think along the lines of timing is too far retarded, or air/fuel mixture is rich, or your cat is clogged... does the exhaust smell like sulfur?

I am not sure, I will have to check it out when I get home from work tomorrow and see if it does. If it was running lean what would have just caused it? The car was missing at low RPMs a little bit before this problem. Could a plugged cat cause that?

lean, I dunno. If it's running really rich the extra fuel will burn in the exhaust manifold and cat.

could also be a opti issue if its not sending spark and not igniting the fuel

i took it to the garage, and they hooked it up to a computer. All they told me was, "everything looks good, it could be a bunch of things causing this problem".
So, I got the car back home, cut the cat out of the exhaust and took it for a drive,
it was a little loud with just the manifolds, but the problem was fixed. I took it to
the exhaust shop today and just had a pipe welded in where the cat was. Thanks
for the imput.
