Car misfiring through entire RPM Band
Car misfiring through entire RPM Band
Here's the situation, I returned home from a long vacation courtesy of the united states government and when I get back my car is running great, feels strong nothing going wrong. Then I get in it one day and it has a miss through the whole power band and has no power. It feels like a vacuum leak, like when the intake elbow isn't connected right and it just doesn't have it's power because of the leak. Now what would cause this to just happen when one day it is driving just fine and the next nothing. I checked the Mass air and when I unplug it, it runs worse and throws a code. Would O2 sensors or a bad Egr do this, I have a bad exhaust leak but I've had that for a while. I have headers on the way and new O2 sensors and Egr waiting to go in. Should I go ahead and change the plugs and wires, they are less than a year old and have probrably 2000 miles on them. Or does it sound like the Opti, but from what I've been reading the Opti usually just goes out and doesn't run at all. I don't know but any help would greatly be appreciated. And anyone around the Ft.Walton Beach area that could help out that would be even better, thanks in advance.
Well I don't have any way of scanning for codes but it doesn't have a service engine soon light on. It only get's chevron supreme, and hadn't been filled up anytime around when it happened. I changed out my EGR valve and it didn't help any. I checked my fuel pressure and it's got right at 40psi with vacuum line on and off. Anything other questions or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
