Car Keep Dying on me!! PLEASE HELP GUYS!!!

My Battery keeps loosing enough power to not start the car when There is a draw for more than 1 min. The Alternator is puttin out 14.67 while running, so I din't think it's the Alt. I checked the Batt and it read 12.47 with the engine off. It starts up fine normally, but if you leave the door open for more than 1 min it doesn't have enough juice to turn the engine over. WTF??? Is it a possibility that the starter is wearing out and drawing too much power from the batt to start the engine? Let me know what Ya'll think!! PLEASE HELP!!!! I'm sick of getting out of my car to get the mail and coming back to a dead battery.

Could be just that the battery is shot. Believe it or not when batteries are going they will make the car do some funky stuff. My dads acura the interior lights flickered and the gauges all pegged, in my transam the lights went on but they didnt fold up etc etc...Basically, I dont know exactly, but its gotta be either your alternator or battery.

With the help of a friend, see what the battery voltage is when they crank the engine. Shouldn't go below 11 volts. Your alternator is putting out fine. I think your battery is shot. You should clean the 2 grounds, at the frame and the engine. Clean the positive cluster at the passenger fender and take the battery to be tested.

Don't buy cheap, either get an Exide or an Interstate battery.

I was told by a dude at work that the battery could be to blame. He said that the battery cells are accually swelling inside the battery when the alternator is charging it. When it's turned off the cells are touching and canceling themselves out causing it to be a 10 Volt Batt instead of a 12 Volt Batt. Once the battery sits for awhile, the cells unswell and the car starts fine. What do you guys think.

I think my Z has a Diehard battery. Has started EVERY time even after some extremely cold days after sitting for a month straight. Has never failed to start, except when the starter died. That was a week ago. Now it starts like brand new.

I had a battery that went out internally, it started out doing it every once in a while, then just crapped on me.

I had my friend out jumping up and down on the battery and you could see all the lights get brighter whenever he landed on it.

Batteries can just do strange things sometimes. I'd take it to Advance Auto and have it tested, just getting the voltage won't tell you if the battery can sustain a load (which it looks like it can't).
